Olympia Activewear - Vix Leggings

The Athleisurely Review

Malibu, California

It’s been a minute since the last #ThePantReview! Welcome back to the new and improved, and re-named The Legging Review. That makes more sense to call it that right?? I also have it titled under The Athleisurely Review, so I guess it still doesn’t have an official name. What do you guys think? I like to use both interchangeably in different scenarios.

I was SO excited to finally review Olympia Activewear. I love their aesthetic, and have been eyeballing a few sets for awhile now. I was drawn to their unique elastic waistbands and different cuts for their sports bras. Here’s what I thought:

FABRIC: First off we have to talk about the beautiful elastic waist band. It is so pretty. But so tight. The elastic is high quality and thick, but it doesn’t give at all. If you have a super hour-glass figure this might not be an issue for you, but for me it was uncomfortable and gave me some high waisted muffin top action where there usually is none. As for the legging fabric, I wasn’t super impressed. It feels athletic but it wears more like a pair of cotton leggings. Comfortable but it doesn’t have any contour, which felt strange and off balance in comparison to the waist trainer-esque elastic band. I would love to try another pair of leggings from Olympia to see if this was just the case with this particular style.

FIT / SIZING: If you have an hour glass shape these will probably fit you perfectly. I got a size small and the legging part fit great, but since the elastic waist band was so tight I would go up a size. I’m not sure if that would make the legs too loose though, would need to try on some other styles to be sure. I also ordered two of the same exact style sports bra in different colors because I loved the style so much. They only had size P left, so I thought that would be fine since usually S or XS work in bras for me. But it didn’t, it gave me an upper boob pooch by my armpit and the cut out on the bottom half was just not working with me. It took A LOT of tries to take decent photos in these. Again, would love to see if I got a size up if the cut would still be a problem because the style looked so great on the model and I love the look of it.

WHERE TO WEAR: I wore these to Playlist Yoga and they were great. I would wear them to any non-heated yoga class or a barre class. Anything that doesn’t get too sweaty because I can’t imagine the waist band would feel great against your skin drenched in sweat!
